The question of productivity

The perspective that I’m not really doing something because its hard to is not a fulfilling answer and the question isn’t why I’m not doing something or why I’m not productive rather its what is the reason to want something bad enough that you want to continue propelling forward, what’s that substance (some strange mix of fear, desire, pleasure, indulgence and social veneration) that keeps you going, to wake up in every moment and persist in this one or few interesting ways. Because the disconnect empirically isn’t about the thing you’re doing in the moment, it’s how the moment connects to one in the past which you’re trying to connect and move with. This fracture almost invisible, grows out and eats away at your happiness.
It’s not really about whether I want to do the startup or write or a job or tech art or whatever, it’s about what makes me want to persist moment to moment, something that connects them together. I think this idea of living moment to moment isn’t very clear let me arrive at this first, every moment isn’t completely connected to time although there’s something similar to our understanding of time thats at work, its really an old idea of entropy and that’s the fundamental change maker, you need to understand how it works.
Everyone has their own unit of time, or experience, this is what I call your moment. Your moment is the single longest, most complex thing you can create without having to restart (what do you mean by restart). The size of your moment may be 10 mins or a 1 year for the world, it’s highly variable and doesn’t directly matter, the measure is of something your consciousness picks up and builds something and it keeps adding to it from all the chaos that surrounds it.
But bringing continuity to these connections requires you to develop some sense of rhythm across the different levels of questions, actions, answers and re-iteration. The first is the basic doing the thing of finding the moment itself. Then you can create behaviors to expand your moment.
